Do you need to pay for parking in the village ?

In the village, all parkings are free all year round. However, you must respect a few blue areas where the disc is compulsory (avenue Clemenceau, boulevard du 8 mai and place de l’Ormeau). A disc with pictures of Ramatuelle is on sale for €2 at the Tourist Office (valid throughout Europe).


Are the beaches supervised ?

Yes, in high season only. 3 aid stations on the Bay of Pampelonne (Gros Vallat, Patch and Tamaris) and an aid station at Escalet.


Are dogs allowed on the beaches ?

Yes, all the beaches of Ramatuelle (Baie de Pampelonne, Anse de Bonne Terrasse, Escalet beach and Canadel creeks) are authorized for our four-legged friends, kept on a leash. Download our “dog friendly” flyer here.


Are there nudist beaches in Ramatuelle ?

Yes, by municipal decree two portions of the bay of Pampelonne (Gros Vallat and Matarane) are authorized for naturism and it is also tolerated in the creeks of Canadel. Finally, Neptune Plage in Pampelonne, an establishment affiliated with the Fédération Française de Naturisme, welcomes you from April to the end of September.


Is there free wifi in the village ?

Yes, it is available for free by the Tourist Office within a radius of approximately 20 meters around its location. To connect to this network called IKD OT-Ramatuelle, no password, just accept the terms of use.


What are the market days in Ramatuelle ?

Thursday and Sunday mornings, all year round from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Place de l’Ormeau. In high season, craft markets are organized (dates available in the entertainment section).

What to do when it rains ?

Discover the current exhibition  at Salle Le Garage, in the village or take a visit to the cellar and a wine tasting (with moderation) and in the surrounding area: museums of Saint-Tropez, discovery of pipe manufacturing in Cogolin, bowling of the Gulf, movie theater (Sainte- Maxime, Saint-Tropez, Cogolin) or do some shopping for local products (House of Jams in Gassin, Atelier Provençal in Cogolin).


How to access the beaches of the town ?

  • with the free shuttle from the village, rotation every 20 minutes from mid-June to mid-September, check out the itinerary and practical information here
  • by bus, with line 7705 from Zou (timetables)
  • by bike and on two wheels (free parking)
  • by car, several car parks are available (2022 season rates here).

Where can I stay with my motorhome ?

What hikes can I do in Ramatuelle ?

The coastal path stretches for 15 kilometers all along the coast; several itineraries are detailed on our tourist map. Off the coast, the Combes Jauffret trail from the village (Rue du Moulin Roux) offers a route through the forest to the hamlet of Combes Jauffret (about 3 km round trip). The town does not offer any other marked routes, consult the map of Walks in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

In high season, remember to always take water, sunscreen, a hat and suitable shoes. Finally, the day before, find out about authorization to access the forest by consulting the map published by the prefecture.
