Ramatuelle is very representative of the charming
landscapes of Provence and the Riviera.

The commune spreads over 8900 acres.
Geographically, 4 different types of landscapes can be distinguished
:
- A belt of wooded hills,
formed of gneiss and constituting the foot of the Maures Hills.
Cork oaks and umbrella pines form forests over 3460 acres. The
highest point of the belt is the Barri of Gassin (322 meters)
with its radio aerial.
- The old village perched on a rock, medieval Provençal
village overlooking the Bay of Pampelonne at an altitude of 130
meters.

- The alluvial plain with its
vineyards (1850 acres planted with vines) and traditional
Provençal farmhouses.

- A seafront spreading from
north to south, from Cape Pinet to Cape Taillat, with its
rocky shores made of granit (Cape Camarat, Cape Taillat) and its
white sandy beaches, especially the beach of Pampelonne spreading
over 4,5 km and the beaches of Bonne Terrasse and l'Escalet.
For generations everything has
been done to preserve the commune from anarchistic urbanization.
That is why Ramatuelle has kept its original beauty and variety
which makes it an ideal destination.
